I hope you had a fun filled holiday today. Mine was pretty laid back. I went out and had lunch with some family then came home, did a little writing, a little TV watching, and a lot of reading. I just finished Ruth Ware’s THE WOMAN IN CABIN 10. It took me a few days to finish it but it was a good read. I’m glad I picked up a copy. I am now starting on THE ALICE NETWORK. I’ve heard good things about it so here’s to enjoying another good book.
I also thought I’d share another quote from Cheryl Strayed’s book BRAVE ENOUGH. I like this one. It’s honest and real and helpful, it one decides it to be. At least it has been for me.
“Accept that their actions hurt you deeply. Accept that this experience taught you something you didn’t want to know. Accept that sorrow and strife are part of a joyful life. Accept that it’s going to take a long time for you to get that monster out of your chest. Accept that someday what pains you now will surely pain you less.”
Here’s to hoping that your someday, if you find yourself in need of one, comes swiftly and gracefully and arrives with sweet release and a hope that speaks directly to you.
